This story is about how God is everywhere. He is in this room, he is outside, he in in all our houses , in the sky, everywhere.
Once upon a time, long long ago, there was a school with a teacher. He had some students, just like you all. They would go to class everyday and the teacher would tell them a lot of fun stories and lessons and they had a lot of fun. This was a really cool teacher.
One day, the teacher called all the students and gave them a very funny home work. He said "Eat a mango." That was the homework.
But he also told them that they could eat the mango in secret. They cannot eat it where somebody can see them. So the first student hid behind a tree and quickly ate the mango. But the gardener saw him......
Another student got under a big bed. Nobody ever went there and it was all dusty and the poor student sneezed and sneezed. But he ate the mango there. Ha ha... but a little mouse saw him...
Another student went to room, checked all the shelves, under the bed, behind the door to see if somebody was tricking him and he closed the door tight and locked it. Then he closed the window to make sure nobody was peeking in. Then he quickly are the mango before somebody came knocking on the door. Do you think anybody saw him?....
So all the students finished their homework and came to class the next day. The teacher said, "Did everybody do their homework?" One little boy raised his hand and said "No, sorry, I tried but could not." So the teacher asked "Why, what happened?" The boy said, "I could not because where ever I went, there was no person, no animal, but God was always there!" So I could not find a place where somebody was not watching." The teacher was very pleased with the boy and said "Yes, God is everywhere, and also inside you."
Does that make sense? Who saw the boy who was hiding under the bed? Who saw the boy who was hiding in the room? Depending on the class: What about plants? Do you think God is in them?
Do not give the answer. .....pause enough to let the story sink in and let the children think.
